I hosted an Intimo Lingerie party this past weekend. It was an opportunity for me to get some more nice bras that are of a quality not found in most NZ clothing retailers, as well as to bake and feed friends sweet treats.
Alex doesn't see the appeal of cupcakes so we usually don't make them at home. But on my lifetime to do list is a vague 'get really good at cupcake making' desire. I indulged it and have some pretty undergarments (and one overgarment) on the way - not a bad thing at all!
Point of interest: photographing frosting is difficult.
And also: my parents have landed in New Zealand! This Saturday we fly bright and early to join them in Rotorua for a week and the next Saturday the lot of us will fly all the way to the bottom of the South Island to ferry over to Stewart Island.
I have decided, in an unprecedented move, not to take my laptop. I've got three knitting projects and my parents and my partner and the glories of NZ to enjoy for two weeks of actual holidy and I'm going to try it out as just that. I'm sure we'll check emails occasionally, or at least our bank account, but I don't want you thinking I'm becoming totally slack with the blogging. I promise lots of photos on my return. And the months ahead have plenty of blog fodder weekends stacking up, so get ready.
